Bill is a self-motivated, highly effective person with extensive experience of working with young people and adults in a variety of settings. He is able to create new ideas and solutions to problems, to evaluate situations and to present viable alternatives while dealing with individuals and groups from many backgrounds in a way that inspires and motivates them.
He has a broad skills and knowledge base with considerable depth which he combines with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to achieve personal goals and to help others achieve theirs. Bill heads Training North West and in 2001 he also founded Counselling North West, a counselling and training provider. Since 2001 Bill has been a valued member of the therapy team at the two leading independent education and care organisations in the North West.
Experience and skills:
· Founded Counselling North West / Training North West and developed it beyond expectations to provide additional related training programmes. These cover such subjects as Conflict Management and Understanding and Confronting Bullying.
· Extensive experience in education/care, training, youth and community voluntary work and in NHS therapeutic settings.
· Awarded MA in Special Educational Needs, Liverpool John Moores 1999. Dissertation awarded at distinction level. (Post-16 links in an EBD day school). Awarded Diploma in Counselling (CSCT London) 1995. ILM qualification for coaching Personal Performance, Accekerated learning and Executive and Business Coaching (2008)
· Voluntary counsellor for 5 years with the Yewdale Centre and previously with an NHS doctor’s surgery.
· Operates with enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment in the most challenging settings.
· Ability to gain the support and confidence of others through excellent interpersonal skills.
